George Henry Powell

George Henry "Hank" Powell, age 83, was ushered into the presence of the Lord on November 4, 2010. He was born on August 26, 1927 in Chantilly, VA. He served in the Merchant Marines during WWII and retired in 1995 after working for forty years at Invetech, Inc. in Alexandria, VA. He co-authored "Voices of Chantilly", a recollection of stories by witnesses that shaped this once rural farming community. Henry was united in Heaven with his son, Ronnie Powell and his grandson, Nathan Powell. He is survived by his beloved wife of 63 years, Norma Caudle Powell; devoted children, Larry (Beth), Dick (Jeanne), Rick (Johnny), and daughter-in-law, Carol, cherished brother of Jane Whittenberger and James Powell; nine grandchildren, Brandon (Daniella), Karla, Sheri, Ryan, Jason (Rosemary), Janelle, Justin (Ashley), Elizabeth and Joshua; 4 great-grandchildren, Brendan, Daniel, Sloane and Ethan; also may nieces and nephews. Henry was lovingly cared for by his full time caregiver, Teddy Alvarado, to whom the family is tremendously greatful.

Norma and the Powell Family, Im sorry to hear of the loss of Hank. He was a tremendous individual and a great mentor. Hank will be missed by many customers and employees of Invetech. I am happy to have had the pleasure of working with Hank for many years. Heaven has just got brighter.
I have many fond memories of working with Hank in Alexandria. My condolences to his family. May God bless him and welcome him home.
I worked with Glen for over 15 yesrs at Invetech . He was a good business partner and a great friend .
