Gertrude Mozell (Ross) Albert

Mrs. Gertrude Mozell (Ross) Albert, born July 3, 1952 to the union of Leroy Ross and Mildred Ross. Gertrude departed this life on November 18, 2025. She was 73 years of age.

Gertrude leaves to cherish her memory husband Dave B. Albert; two daughters, Amanda Albert and Samantha Sifre; and two grandchildren, Elias and Kora Sifre. Gertrude was preceded in death by her parents and sister Rebecca Ross. Gertrude is also beloved by a host of other family members and friends.

She married Dave on April 6, 1976 in Washington, DC, where they raised their two daughters while Dave served in the military. She loved to travel, eat seafood, ride horses, play bid whist, and loved animals.

Gertrude, Dave, Amanda, and Samantha moved to Lorton, VA after Dave’s military service was complete. Gertrude and Dave made a home in Lorton until death did its part after 49 years of marriage.

She will be remembered for her strength, courage, resilience, selflessness, and always protecting her husband and children.
