H. Edward Pflieger, 92, of Reedville, Va., passed away on Wednesday, march 25, 2015. He was born December 5, 1922 in Arlington, Va. Beloved husband of the late Lois Cornett Pflieger; beloved father of Susan Pflieger Ryker and Stephen Andrew Pflieger. Also survived by 5 grandchildren, five great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. Interment will be private at Quantico National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his name to Bethany United Methodist Church, 454 Main St., PO Box 77, Reedville, Va 22539.

I think of Ed as more of a brother than an uncle.I recall great memories from canoeing on the Potomac, going to a baseball game at old Griffith Stadium and walking all the way home to Columbia Pike after the game, playing softball together on a church team, bowling in a duckpin league. Many other memories too numerous to name.
