  2. My heartfelt Condolences to Hazel’s family – Hazel was the kindest, most caring, soul. I met her at the FBI back in the late 1970s through my supervisor, Jimmy McGraw, who was her next-door neighbor in Falls Church. In retirement, Hazel joined the Society of FBI Alumni and in 2005, she was a founding member of the Northern Virginia Chapter. We have very much missed her at our luncheons the past several years when her attendance became impossible due to her health. We will be making a donation to the Society in her honor as a Founder and long-time member.

  3. Aunt Hazel, I remember you brushing my hair when I was a little girl while singing “Tammy‘s in Love”. and telling me to marry rich. You were always so kind and you had the most tender heart. I love you always. I am so glad you were a part of my life. I will miss you until we meet again.♥️

  4. It was an honor to know and be around Hazel. She was so kind & never had a bad thing to say about anyone or anything. Over the past several years, I use to pick her up from Greenspring to take her to the luncheons held by the NOVA Chapter of the Society of the FBI. She so enjoyed attending. After she was unable to attend due to health concerns, I visited her often, sometimes bringing lunch & sharing photos to keep her up to date on what was going on with her many friends and associates. I will miss her dearly but I take comfort in knowing she is now at peace. My sincere condolences to her loving family.

  5. Aunt Hazel you were our rock when mom passed. Our visits and memories will always be cherished by the boys, their wives, and Rob and I. I know you are up there filling Norma in on all she has missed. You’re stories of Mom, North Carolina, Grandma and Grandpa will be treasured. Heaven has gained another Randall angel.

  6. Hazel was one of my first supervisors in the FBI when I was assigned to the Reading Room. I was very young and Hazel was so kind to me and gave me so much advice and guidance. We stayed in touch long after she retired. She was a wonderful giving person and she will be missed.

  7. Hazel was always calm, respectful, and honest when reviewing documents for our office, and we were terrified of disappointing her. Knowing we had to make the trip to the Reading Room meant even more focus on getting things right. Reading this lovely tribute to her life and the sentiments of those who knew her privately are honors for a life well-lived and a beautiful soul who loved and lived well. God bless your family, Hazel, and may He give them the comfort in those warm memories of happier times with you.

  8. I met Hazel through Eastern Star. She was always ready to help out with various projects and was a shining light wherever she went. She will be truly missed.

  9. Hazel was a very nice woman. I met her when she lived at Greenspring Village. I volunteered with my therapy dog, Dodie, to visit people in Greenspring’s nursing home. Hazel had two little dogs that she pushed around in a stroller. My husband, Neal Schiff, knew Hazel well from working with her at the FBI. I know Neal would be saddened to learn of Hazel’s passing. Neal passed in June 2023. I pray that Neal was there to met Hazel at God’s door. May Hazel Rest in Peace and May her memory be a blessing.

    • I worked with Hazel in the 1960’s and became friends with her through masonic organizations. Rest in peace dear friend.

  10. Aunt Hazel was one of my closest Aunts. She was the sweetest, kindest and most loving aunt. She always had pleasant things to say about everyone. I remember going to her home in Oakton and visiting her with my mom and during her time in Greenspring we would visit and take or bring her lunch. Her smile will be greatly missed but I find comfort in knowing she is in a better place. I love you Aunt Hazel! ❤️
