Hazel S. Birdsong, age 91 of Vienna, VA, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Wednesday, July 24, 2013 at the Specialty Hospital of Washington.
Beloved wife of the late Luther E. Birdsong; mother of Harold R. Birdsong(Susan), Luther E. Birdsong Jr. and Timothy W. Birdsong (Debbie); sister of Lynette Smith Preddy and grandmother of Chantal Birdsong, Jacy Birdsong, William Birdsong, and Raymond Birdsong.

Wayne and I are sorry for you loss. Your Mother / Grandmother was always so kind and sweet to us. She always remembered which of Billy & Ray’s many Aunts and Uncles we were, where we lived and asked about our son, Mike. We will remember her with fondness.
Hazel was always a very loving Mother. She enjoyed visiting with her sons and grandchildren. She liked to sit together with a cup of hot tea and find pleasure in talking about simpler times in life. The times that she spent growing up in a large family. She liked to find topics that would make her laugh. She always kept a close relationship with God and read her Bible often. The happy times we shared will remain in my heart forever.
