Herbert Edward Langford
3/25/1935 - 2/12/2016
After a life filled with love and family, Herb is now with our Lord.
Born in Buffalo, NY, to loving parents who immigrated from England, Herb cherished the times he spent with family and friends. He was a true servant of God, helping so many around him as a natural course of life.
Herb earned a BS in Business from the University of NY, Buffalo; served in the Air Force as a navigator, when stationed in England, he met his wife, Christine. In 1969, his business career with AM, moved him to DC. Settling in Vienna, VA, Herb actively raised his family to selflessly love God, respect others, seek adventure, and of course love dogs. Herb will be missed.
He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Christine; Children, Victoria and Chris Niosi, Lisa and Jay DeCarlo, and Robert Langford; Grand children, Giuseppe, Chiara, and Christiana Niosi, Kathryn and Eric Alves, Michael and Robert DeCarlo; and Great granddaughter Aria.
In lieu of flowers (Lent) donations to the VA German Shepard Rescue, or Holy Comforter Senior Saints. Thank you to all our family and friends for years of joy. May God Bless you all.

Herb was such a warm and friendly gentleman. He will be missed by all who knew him. Deepest condolences to Chris and all the family. You are in my prayers.
My deepest condolences to the family. Herb a good soul who always stood front and center – I’ll continue to think about him when I take the path through Southside Park where he frequently donated his time to mulch the walkway. Or when I spied him throwing the ball for Princess and Nicky, always with a smile from east to west. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. Thank you for sharing his obituary. With sympathy – Valerie & Pat
So sorry to hear about Herb’s passing. He was a true Christian willing to help anyone at anytime. When we worked together he helped and taught me many things in my career that I have used over the decades. Later when he worked together with me in my business he always gave his all and I was proud to have him with me. He always found the good in people.
