Howard E. Gamertsfelder "Gammy", passed away on Thursday, June 9, 2011, beloved father of Marylinda Gamertsfelder, Karen Krouse (Chuck) and Thomas Gamertsfelder; PopPop to grandchildren Aaron and Audrey Krouse and Olivia Gamertsfelder. Predeceased by his loving wife Rita in 2007 and by brothers, Donald and Ray and sister Maxine Lewis. Survived by brothers, William, Richard, Ronald and sister Betty Weaver, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and in-laws. Born June 1, 1920, Gammy was born on the family farm in Warsaw, Ohio. He proudly served in the US Navy during WWII and joined the CIA in 1952, retiring in 1977. He returned to CIA as a consultant in 1985 and retired a second time in 2010. Based on his ancestral lineage, he is a member of the Sons of the American Revolution. Gammy's love, support and guidance to his children will live on forever. Special thanks to the Greenberry's Office Gang, Dad's friends and colleagues in PAG and to his longtime friend Jim Sohn, for their friendship, love and support. To Gammy’s family, you are in our thoughts and prayers at this time. We will miss Gammy greatly.
I have had no better friend than Gammy. Over the years we have shared work experiences together and a close family relation. Gam I will miss you but these cherished memories will ever live with me.

Gammy You had a very wonderful and full-filled life, leaving the world a better place by just being here. You positively affected many a person, myself included. I am proud to have called you a friend, a colleague and the best engineer I knew. I will miss you.
