Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Betty, Linda, Randy and family, My husband Howard joins me in extending our deepest condolences on your loss. I remember many happy times with Mr. Poole during my childhood. May warm memories bring you comfort in the days ahead. Love, Carla

  2. Betty, Linda, Randy and family, I was looking for information of my former Vice President of my company, when I saw Irvin’s name, it really shocked me, as he and I talked several times lately. I am sure you know Irvin was very special to Edith and I. I am recovering from a back operation at UVA and not sure if I can make the 5 hour round trip. Be sure I will have you and the family in my thoughts and prayers. I. extend deepest condolences on your loss.

  3. My heartfelt prayers and thoughts go out to the family. Irvin was like another Dad to me. Betty and Irvin sort of took me under their wings when I arrived in Virginia to work with their daughter, Linda. Many wonderful memories of the Lioness and Lions clubs, Redskin Mobile. But most important the special caring, concern and love they both gave me. Irvin will be missed greatly in my heart. I only wish I could have made it back there but I’m there in spirit. Love you all, Carol

  4. My thoughts are with you during this extremely difficult time. Although I only met Irvin a few times my memories of him are something I will never forget. A trip to urgent care, an amazing christmas decoration display and the scariest car ride of my life will all be with me for the rest of my days. You will be missed Irvin.

  5. I am now 55, and have known Mr. Irvin Poole since I was born. My family lived across the street from he, Betty, Linda, and Randy. My Dad worked long hours and was often not home. My Mom told me that when I was from age 1-2, I would stand at the screen door, and see Irvin. I would scream “Daddy!” My Mom, often busy, would turn to see me just missing because Irvin had just come over and scooped me up out of our kitchen. He was a VERY SPECIAL man. For sure, and a loss for so many who loved him so much. Our prayers go out to those he has left behind. He’ll always be remembered with smiles.
