  1. I shall miss this noble man which my brother, Billy served under in WWII. We met in Biloxi in 2004 and shared three wonderful days. Truly one of “The Greatest Generation!” May God bless each of his lovely family and give them courage. paul

  2. I’ll always remember Lt Burroughs from Canp Maxey Texas where we trained for overseas duty. He was a caring and compassionate man. It was great to see him at our reunion at Biloxi Miss 2004

  3. Please accept our most sincere condolences. Our thoughts are with all of you. He sounds like he was an amazing man. The Physicians and Staff of Fairfax Family Practice

  4. Alice, Jimmy, Beth and children, you have my deepest sympathy. I was so sad to hear about Mr. Burroughs. He was such a lovely person. He was our next door neighbor on Patrick Street in Vienna for many years, as I was growing up. I will always remember him as the kindest man, whose warm and friendly smile and twinkling, smiling eyes welcomed all of us children. With love and fond memories, Karen (Shihda) Savia

  5. Mrs. Burroughs, Beth, Jim and family – I was so sad to hear of Mr. Burrough’s passing. He always seemed like such a gentle soul and I know he will be so very missed. I too will remember the quick smile and friendly eyes. My most vivid memory is of him coming home each day from work and walking into the house with his briefcase. Strange isn’t it what a child notices! I so wish I could be there with you all, but please know that you are in my thoughts and have my deepest sympathy. Love, Kathy
