  1. Our sincere sympathy and thoughts go out to you and your family. Jim or “JD” as we knew him in FEMA was an outstanding and dedicated co-worker and friend to myself and to my wife.

  2. For everyday that passes I lost half my rock. When anyone in the family needed him he was always there. Loved him and will miss him go with god.

  3. Suzie and Grant — We are so very sorry and sad to hear about Jim’s passing. He was a terrific co-worker, a great friend and a loving person. I bet him and Cav are having a grand old time right now.

  4. Suzie and Grant — We are so very sorry and sad to hear about Jim’s passing. He was a terrific co-worker, a great friend and a loving person. I bet him and Cav are having a grand old time right now.

  5. Suzie and Grant, I was so sorry to hear of Jim’s passing. He was a great friend and fellow prankster to Larry. They are probably laughing at us right now.

  6. Suzie and Grant, I am so sorry to hear about Mr. Darnes. He was a very sweet person and a great co-worker/friend to my mom. Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you both. Mr. Darnes and Mr. Cavanaugh are having a great time together and I know they both are looking down on us. All my love to you both.

  7. I missed the unfortunate news of JD’s passing, as did several other friends of Jim who had close associations with him at FEMA and at Artel in the 1980’s and early 1990’s. You have our most sincere condolences on his passing but know that for us he will always be with us in spirit. I worked with Jim while he was at FEMA and ARTEL and we became close friends, working with him on nationally important programs. Jim and I remained in touch by email as the others did until very early this year. He was a bright spirit to us, dedicated to accomplishing his job and ours. He always had a positive attitude and infectious smile for us regardless of his health issues at the time. Please know that our prayers remain with you and that we will always truly miss him.
