Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Mary Lou and family, We grieve with you upon the passing of such a precious saint in the Lord. We thank God for the love and support that you all have shown Sanctity of Life Ministries over the years. Jim will, indeed, be missed. Our prayers are with you. Stan Kellner, CEO On behalf of the SLM family

  2. I was Jim’s office administrator at Space App in the mid 80’s until he left the firm. I left soon after, as Jim was such a wonderful boss. My thoughts and prayers are with the family.

  3. Dearest Scrivener family, My heart goes out to you all. I feel as though we came through a large part of life together. As Andrew’s classmate for so many years in a small school setting, we got to know our friends and their families quite well. I’ll fondly recall those most formative years full of cleaning the counsel room and washing dishes after spaghetti suppers to parent volunteers that came for field day to Friday morning Mass at school, and Mr. and Mrs. Scrivener smiling and rooting us on throughout the years. As much as it is fun to ponder youthful memories, we are now the adults our parents were when we were in school and it is hard to believe. I mourn your loss as you celebrate a man who contributed much to his family, his community, and life. You are in my prayers. Much love to all of you always, Megan

  4. Dear Mary Lou, Amy and Andrew, “When I was homeless you gave me shelter.” –Jesus In 1977 when my life was falling apart, I heard these wonderful words from Jim, “hey Louie, why don’t you come live with us for a while.” For the next 10 months, you allowed me to be a part of your family, giving me love and encouragement to get back on my feet. You were also very kind to my sons Tommy and Mike allowing us to spend Sundays together in your home. I will be eternally grateful for what you did for me. It has been wonderful for 30 years to have you as trusted friends. I was very sorry to hear that Jim had gotten ill and realize how difficult it has been for you the last year and a half. I feel honored that Andrew called me from the hospital. You always have a friend in me. If I can ever do anything for you please call. I love you all very much. Thanks again, –Louie

  5. Mary Lou and family, Freddie and I send our prayers and sincerest sympathy at the loss of your Jim. Jimmie and I had a sibling-like friendship in high school, and although our lives took us in very different directions, he has always had a special place in my heart. Goodbye Big Brother! God be with your family in their grief. Lorraine Burch Hancock SMA ’55
