In Loving Memory of
James Kelly IV

James Kelly IV, 92, passed away peacefully at home on May 27, 2024, surrounded by his family.

He was born to James and Catherine Kelly. He attended college and then joined the military where he met his wife of 69 years, Jerie, who was also serving in the military. He had a successful career in the printing industry.

Family and faith meant the world to him. He enjoyed traveling, gardening, golfing, good food, good wine, telling jokes and randomly breaking into song. He had a generous spirit and a loving heart. He loved life and lived it to the fullest.

He is survived by his wife, Jerie Kelly; his children, James Kelly V, Mary Kelly, Mark (Gaynor) Kelly, Lisa Kelly, Thomas Kelly and Susan (Erik) Hall; his grandchildren, Anthony Hall, Caryline Kelly, Kelly Fischel, Sarah Kelly, Zachary Hall, Ryan Kelly, Alex Fischel and Lauren Fischel; and his brother Robert Kelly.

Although he passed from this life, he is forever in our hearts. Our memories of him and the times we shared give us strength. We miss him dearly every day but are comforted that we will see him again one day.

The viewing will be held on Sunday, June 9, 2024, from 1:00 – 4:00pm at Money and King Funeral Home in Vienna. The mass will be held on Monday, June 10, 2024, at 11:00am at Our Lady of Good Council Catholic Church in Vienna.

Memories Timeline

  1. Mr. Kelly was Vice President of my working area Pre-Press Graphics (later NG Imaging) until his well deserved retirement. He was always exceptionally kind to me and all of us within his department at the National Geographic Society. May Mr. Kelly and all the faithfully departed rest in peace, Amen.
