Janet Jebb Mihm, beloved wife and mother, passed away peacefully August 4, 2024, at the age of 95. Jan was born on August 30, 1928, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, to Walter and Mary Hatton. She came to America in 1947, where she attended Shimer College and Bradley University, both in Illinois. In 1958, she met the love of her life, Joseph C. Mihm, and the two married on September 6, 1958. Jan and Joe raised their four children in Vienna, VA, where Jan taught childern with special needs at Kilmer Center for over 25 years. In her later years, Jan was active in many activities while living at Ashby Ponds in Loudoun County, and had recently moved to Sunrise Senior Living in Vienna. She is survived by her four children, Chris Mihm (Karen), Bill Mihm (Jennifer), Debbie Critzer (Kimball), and Patti Mihm (Erik); her seven grandchildren; and four great grandchildren. A funeral Mass will be held on September 13, 2024, at 10 am at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church in Sterling, VA. The family will receive family and friends before the service in the chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family asks you to support the American Cancer Society.
