Jerome Murray Kossar (age 79) of Fairfax, Virginia passed away on Saturday, March 28, 2009 at the Virginian. Beloved husband of Mary Jane Kossar; father of Pamela Abelson, April Lazarus & the late Wendy Kossar; & grandfather of Laura & Margot Lazarus.
He received his Aeronautical Engineering Degree from NYU in 1952. His life long work included working on the Apollo Program & with NHTSA for 27 years where he worked in automobile safety features to include airbags. He was an expert in the airbag field & was often asked to testify in court cases.
