Joann was a wonderful Aunt. I cherish the memories of her playing with my children, watching her cook, walking her garden and the wonderful meals at your home. The family reunion was also a very special time for the Gillie family. Thank you for the memories. Joann you will always be loved and missed.
Mom, I love you and will miss you always. I am so glad I was able to see you the day before we left. You taught me so much, including how to be thoughtful and kind to others. You will always be close in my heart. Rest in peace, dear mother. Love always, Jane
On behalf of the Prince William Wildflower Society, I send my sincere condolences to the family upon Joann’s passing. She was such an enthusiastic member and tireless volunteer. She was a fabulous baker and we enjoyed her treats for years while she was our extraordinary hospitality chair. We’ve missed her from meetings over the last few years and mourn her loss. She was a great supporter of nature and native plants.
Joann will be missed by all who knew her. She had a heart of Gold!
Leslie sent me this info. So sorry to hear this sad news. I only knew Ann (as we knew her by that name) by visiting with her when she was in Minnesota and would stop at our home and visit a bit on a few occasions coming from or going to the airport in connection with visiting friends and relatives in Williams and other places in Minnesota.. Edith always really enjoyed seeing Ann and having a chance for a visit even if only for a brief time. My thoughts and prayers are with you Jane and Dale as you experience sorrow and grief for the loss of such a fine woman. Roberta
