Joanne Henry Meroney

Joanne Elaine Henry Meroney, 73, of Vienna, Virginia, died March 28, 2023. Preceded in death by her parents, Eleanor (Jann) and Col. William R. Henry, stepmother Doris Poston Henry, and half-brother Bruce Scott Henry. Joanne grew up as an Army Brat in Philadelphia, Virginia, California, and Germany. Her retentive memory allowed her to recall phone numbers and addresses for all the family’s quarters. Joanne worked at GW Hospital and Inova Fairfax as a medical secretary and made many friends at those workplaces. She retired to care for her father. Joanne loved her family, cats, and shopping. She is survived by her brother William R. Henry, Jr (Irene), her cousin Terry Jann, and many other Jann and Henry relatives. A memorial Service will be held at Money & King, 171 Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA, Saturday, May 20, 2023, at 11:00 am.
