I recall my Mom and Dad, Jane and Bob Gingell, speaking of Johnnie and Lucille Gheen many years ago. We lived in the Tysons/Vienna area from pre-’49 thru ’91. I attended Marshall High with Jeannie and Laura Earman (related to your Aunt Helen-?). My sincere sympathy is extended to you in the loss of your father. I can remember the pain of losing my Mom in ’87 and then Dad in ’91.
It was a real privilege to get to know John in his last few months. He always would say “everybody has something good to say about old John.” I would agree. I’ll miss him and promise to pass on the card trick to others.
The children & grandchildren of Gordon & Joyce Bowman offer their deepest sympathies to the Gheen Family. You will always be remembered as a dear family friend.
