John “Jack” Robert McKee, III, age 68 of Vienna, Virginia, died peacefully in his sleep March 26, 2022, following a series of cardiac-related issues. Jack was born May 21, 1953, in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, to John Robert McKee, Jr. and Margaret Ann Wahl McKee. He was a 1971 graduate of Washington–Lee High School in Arlington, Virginia, and remained in the Northern Virginia area for the rest of his life. Jack was a career employee of the United States Postal Service with forty-nine years of service at the time of his death. He enjoyed golf and bowling, and once bowled a sanctioned perfect 300 game. He was an avid fan of both the Washington Capitals hockey team and the University of Georgia football team. He is survived by his sister Lynda Diane McKee of Hiram, Georgia, cousin Bryan Keith (Debra) McKee of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and good friend Richard Scott Patton who was like a brother to him.   1. Prayers for strength and comfort for his friends and family. Jack was my good friend when I started working at Merrifield. He was like a brother to me. He had a heart of gold. I will always remember our times working together.

I first met Jack early in my career with the postal service 1987.We became friends we bowled together one season finishing 3rd.We both loved playing golf and along with another coworker (Tom Post) and my wife (Jeesook) we would often get together for a round. Jack and I would often attend hockey games together it was great! I’m sorry for what happened to jack he will be missed terribly.
