"Mike" (Age 50)

Mike Moore of Haymarket, VA, died suddenly at home on Wednesday, March 20, 2013 due to natural causes. Loving husband of 24 years to Laura Moore; cherished father of Steven and Katelyn Moore of Haymarket, VA; son of James and Phyllis Moore and brother of Ann Moore all of Johnson City, TN. Relatives and friends are invited to Mike's Life Celebration at St. Mark Catholic Church, 9970 Vale Rd., Vienna VA, on Tuesday, March 26 from 10:00 AM until time of Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 AM. Inurnment will be held at a later date at St Mark Catholic Church Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Murphy Girls Fund, C/O Suntrust Bank, 5260 Merchants View Sq., Haymarket, VA 20169.

  14. I’m very sorry to hear of Mike’s passing. The world is a sadder place for it. I worked with Mike for years on EOSDIS. He was a sweetheart of a guy, always brought a positive, optimistic outlook to whatever trials and tribulations we were enduring at the time. I will miss him.

  15. Our time working together on NGI was lively and he made it such that we couldn’t wait to see what each day would bring. He was the spark that made it all work. Mike loved to laugh and that is how I will always remember him. He was kind and caring and will be missed.

  17. I really enjoyed working with Mike as my program manager – whenever I dealt with him he aways had a nice thing to say to me. He was key to our program for many years. I am so sorry for his loss. My deepest sympathies.
