Of McLean, VA, passed away on Saturday, January 3, 2015. Loving husband of Cindy Lund, devoted father of Jordan (Dane) Rahlf. Melissa, Amanda, Brittany and Courtney Lund, brother of JoAnn (Ross) Bowen, Jean (Bill) Duffin and Janna (Jeff) Rodgers. He is also survived by his cherished grandson Adler Rahlf. Visitation will be held at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Friday, January 9th from 6-8 PM and The Church of Latter Day Saints, 2034 Great Falls Street, Falls Church, VA on Saturday, January 10, 2015 from 9:30 10:30 AM. Services begin at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. Over the years of our younger days we had a lot of good times here on the farm. John always loved to be involved with the work we were doing, even when we dumped him off the hay stack into the canal. What a chuckle. We love the time you took to show us around when we were in Virginia. You will be missed. Our prayers are with the family and love you all. Curtis
We are so sad to lose such a kind, caring back-door neighbor. The entire Lund family is in our prayers.
‘When you die battling cancer ,it does not mean you lose to cancer. You beat cancer by how you live , why you live , and in the manner in which you live. In this case John was a winner ……………a Father, Husband and loving Brother. Who is loved through the eternity’s by all whose lives he gently touched
We are deeply saddened by John’s passing. Our hearts and prayers go out to his family.
John worked on his family’s taxes in our office in Reston;I also saw him at the Springhill Rec Center working out; John was one of the friendliest and brightest people I’ve ever met and he will be greatly missed.

Dear Cindy, girls, and the entire Lund family, we extend our deepest condolences on John’s untimely loss. He was a wonderful father and neighbor, and we were shocked and saddened to learn of his passing. May your faith, family, and memories give you strength and courage.
