Joseph G. Sullivan

Joseph G. Sullivan passed away at the age of 85 on April 3, 2022. He was born on Easter, April 12, 1936. He grew up in the small town of Alma, Kansas and was better know as Gerry. From his youth, there are rumored stories of snakes in the teacher's desk and a firetruck that went missing. He graduated from the University of Kansas with a degree in accounting. After college, he served four years in the U.S. Navy. He toured the Pacific with stops in Hawaii and Japan.
He married Marilyn Coakley in 1963. They were married over 58 years and lived in California, Illinois, and Maryland. Together they had four children; Anne (Howard Hall), Michele (John Grese), Janette (Denis Russell), and Timothy. Joseph was the grandfather to 11 and great-grandfather to 6. He was preceded in death by his parents and three siblings.
Joseph was a devoted family man. In his free time he loved to watch the Washington Capitols, work in the yard, and take care of animals.
