Josephine Cossa

Josephine Cossa passed peacefully on January 14th, 2020 surrounded by her loving children and her eldest granddaughter. She was a kind and generous soul, an excellent listener and a proud mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family with all her heart. She was also an avid shopper, bingo and game show-lover and the best gravy-makin' mamma in the world.
Just weeks before her passing she enjoyed the holidays with all of her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
She will be incredibly missed and lovingly remembered.
She is predeceased by her husband Enrico ("Harry") Robert Cossa (whom she married in 1950 and worked with for years at their jewelry shop in the Bronx, Cossa Jewelers), her brother, Angelo Sicilia, her sister Maria Sicilia and her parents Angelina and Pasquale Sicilia.
She is survived by her sister, Theresa Sicilia, her sister-in-law, Rose Sicilia, her children and their spouses, Nicholas and Brenda, Ken and Joyce, Janet, as well as her four grandchildren and three great grandchildren - Elizabeth, married to Sean, Nick, married to Nedra, Thomas, Alessandra, Ella Rose, Nicholas Robert and Ryan Patrick.
Please join us to celebrate her life this Saturday, January 18th from 5pm - 7pm, at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, Virginia at 171 Maple Avenue West. Her interment will be on Monday, January 20th at noon at Princess Anne Memorial Park in Virginia Beach, Virginia.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Heart Association or to your charity of choice.
