Granny Jo – You taught me how to be a strong, compassionate, independent and loving woman by living your life as one. You touched people’s lives and their hearts just by being you. I cherish every moment we had together and all of the support, advice and love you gave me. I will always be proud to call you my godmother. I love you. “When I am an old woman, I shall wear purple…”
It was always the greatest pleasure to have Jo as part of our family, a loving, caring and engaging figure who never failed to inspire both affection and enduring respect. Ever patient, she brightened our lives no matter what stress the Humphreys clan may have subjected her to during the many dinners, political discussions and classical music sessions we all shared. Truly the “salt of the earth”, Jo will be forever missed and fondly remembered by us and our three sons.
Over the years we have treasured our friendship with Jo Good. I worked for her during the 1960 and 1964 Republican National Conventions and have shared many stories and memories since those days long ago. Jo was a unique, charming and inspiring woman with a marvelous career and a fascinating life. I will miss our chats and shopping for all items related to kittens to send to her. An amazing woman, loved and admired….. Grace and Bill Thrift and family
With affection and respect.
