Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. Juanita was very special to me. She was my Godmother and I was proud to have her as such. She hand-made most of my childhood dresses She was my mother’s best friend, and as I miss my mother, I shall miss her also. I hope they are in each other’s company again.

  2. I have sooo many wonderful memories of her! Pat and I met in 9th grade (1965). I went home with Pat for the first time and upon meeting Mrs. Scherl, I commented on how much they favored. Mrs. Scherl beamed from ear to ear and then told me that Pat was adopted. She literally worshipped her children and gave her life to them. That is one of the best compliments a mother can receive. She was such a special lady, a privilege just to know her. She was always there to listen if you were troubled, never criticizing, always caring and supporting. I not only found a lifelong friend in Pat, but a lifelong angel on earth in Mrs. Scherl. I am truly blessed to have known her!

  3. Juanita was such a wonderful person, I thought of her as my second mother. Our sadness of today will fade away, but the great memories we shared will last forever.

  4. I enjoyed Juanita’s hospitality during Fall 1976 when I was a student and an intern at MITRE coorporation. I remember her kindness, and the nice people she introduced me to. This is why today I wanted to send my condolence.

  5. This is Zoltan (Szekely) from Hungary, who lived 4 month in the Echols street house. Juanita took care of me while I spent my fellowship-time at the Mitre corporaion (McLean). It was a great time for me; I enjoying very much the long talkings with her every day at dinner. I also got the opportunity to get acquainted with Patricia, Harry, Richard, the sisters of Juanita and all others. After 40 I am planning to go to the States again, to show my wife Susan some of the location I lived and of course much more. Best regards to all, especially to Patricia, Harry and Richard. Zoltan my contact data: email address: zszekely@kabsi.at, tel: +4369910993080, I live in Wewingartenfeld 9, Gramatneusiedl, A-2440, Austria
