Kanoye K. Nishimoto, age 92, died on September 30, 2012 at his home in Vienna, VA surrounded by his family. He was born on March 3, 1920 in Los Angeles, CA to the late Hoichi and Haruko Muramoto Nishimoto.

Kanoye was the beloved husband of Keiko Nishimoto, loving father of Margaret Rogers of Virginia Beach, VA, Catherine Janowski of Vienna, VA, John Nishimoto of Knoxville, MD and Theresa West of Alexandria, VA, brother of Kuni Mano, proud grandfather of 7 grandchildren.

Kanoye retired in 1987 as an auditor with the Defense Contract Audit Agency.

The family suggests that memorial contribtuions may be made to the Japanese-American Citizens League (www.jacl.org).

A reception will follow the Memorial Service at the home of Catherine and Chris Janowski.

I was happy to hear from John that he passed away peacefully. It was an honor, to have known him and I will cherish the moments talking about the Redskins.
