Katherine Burke Gavin

Katherine Burke Gavin of McLean, Virginia passed away on Thursday, September 8th. Born and raised in Jersey City, NJ, she received a BA in English before relocating to Philadelphia and Washington DC. Katherine was an avid reader and enjoyed walking. She was the devoted wife of the late William F. Gavin and loving mother of two daughters and a son, as well as a grandmother to three and great grandmother to one. At her request, no funeral will be held and donations can be sent, in her memory, to St. Jude's Children Research Hospital or to the Sandy Hook Promise Foundation.
