I was so fortunate to have been a friend of Kay’s and experience what wonderful, energetic, happy and intelligent woman she was. Her face lit up when she smiled. Her family starting with her Mom and Dad were the loves of her life. I will miss her..You are With God I know, sweet Kay..
You have found peace. Your struggles are over. May God watch over you.
So very sad to hear of your loss; we always loved being around Kay. You have our sympathy and prayers, and of course, our love to all your family. May she rest in peace.
So sorry to hear about your loss. Kay and I belonged to several groups in Germany and had great fun traveling together. She had such a zest for life. Our deepest condolences to the family she loved so much.
In 1999 I went through a rough personal crisis. My very good friend Anna Strickland, Kay’s sister-in-law, helped me in many ways. At one point, I needed a place to stay for a short period of time. That is how I met Kay and Bob, who very graciously let me stay at their house. I am very thankful to them and I will keep Kay in my memory as a warm and generous person.
Dear Kay I am deeply saddened that you have passed. I offer my sincerest condolences to your dear and beloved husband and to your loving and caring children and grandchildren. I have lost a dear friend but your family has lost a devoted wife, a loving mother and a deeply caring grandma. There is much to be said about you and your family will take care of all of that. We, on the other hand, will leave it to our fond memories to recall, once in awhile, the times we spent so that we may remember the wonderful person that you were and how your life has so touched those that you have loved, cared for, and embraced. You will now be forever in the Lord’s embrace for this is a place so deserved by you. From a place so far away, I bid you farewell by saying a simple GoodBye. To the family of Kay, again my deepest condolences for losing a person they so well loved. God bless
All of you are in our thoughts and prayers. We know that this is a very difficult time. With Bob at her side Kay left a great legacy in growing a strong family. Most of my memories of my 1st cousin are from when we were young and the Aunts, Uncles and cousins came to the farm in Mississippi for summer vacations. What a crew! Precious memories include swimming in the creek, playing outside until after dark, playing in the hay barn, swinging on the porch and of course singing around the piano, not to mention all of the good food. I did not have the pleasure of spending much time with with Kay as we grew up and pursued our life paths. I will always treasure those precious memories. Love and our sincere sympathy to all of the family. Kay, rest in God’s arms and enjoy the family reunion!
Many years ago, we had the pleasure of having Bryan on our Reston ’74 Travel Soccer team and enjoying the entire Strickland Family. We are so sorry to hear of Kay’s passing and wish you all love during this difficult time. Kay was a sweetheart and joy to be around so know you are missing her. Sincerest condolences, the Petrine Family – Bob, Tammi, Amy and Pete
