Kenneth C. "KC" Morisseau, Jr.

kenneth morisseau, jr.

June 5, 1963 ~ August 2, 2025

Born in: Falls Church, Virginia
Resided in: Reston, Virginia

KC often joked (or so we thought) that he, Fletcher (his brother in every way that matters) and his friend Gordon were aliens from space and had been hiding on earth for years. On the afternoon of Saturday, August 2, KC left us to continue his journey through galaxies and the universe beyond. We are bereft but are comforted that he is no longer confined to his earthly body and flies free in the stars.

KC was born in the spring of 1963 and then endured seven operations due to kidney issues. Despite a rough start, he won hearts and minds with his almost unbearable cuteness, sense of humor and charm. He attended South Lakes High School and then worked various jobs until he found his first calling in document delivery. After a few years at Dynamic Information and EBSCO, he founded his own company, RoseKnight Document Rescue and Retrieval. He took great pride in ensuring scientists around the world had the content they needed to advance healthcare and nutrition.

Soon after, he found his second calling and passion and RoseKnight Photography was born. He was all in with the right equipment, fair prices and a knack for getting just the right shot or look for his customers. He shot weddings, horse shows, school games, restaurant menus and real estate for the business. He mentored many prospective photographers providing guidance, tips and detailed advice. Separate from the ‘professional’ side, KC also loved portrait work and the outdoors shooting hundreds of pictures of flowers, birds and the power of nature from places like Meadowlark Gardens and Great Falls Park. He found true beauty in this world that he adopted.

He left us too soon. We miss his sharing photos on Facebook and with friends, his penchant for sending funny cartoons, videos of stand-up comics he liked and beautiful music of all genres at all times of day or night. It was important to him that you didn’t miss the beauty, wit and mystery of the world; that you sit up and pay attention. Thank you, KC. We miss you and we promise we are paying attention in your stead.

Survived by immediate family, Fletcher Williams, Anne Morisseau (sister) and Robert Stewart (brother-in-law). A celebration of life Celebration of Life will be held on September 27, 2025 2PM to 5PM, with Remarks at 3:00PM at the Walker Nature Center, Multipurpose Room, 11450 Glade Drive, Reston, Virginia 20191
