Laura Mingo Bates, 86, of Vienna, Va. and formerly of Naples, Italy, died on Thursday, February 28, 2008 at her residence. She was the beloved wife of Lt. Col. Paul J. Bates, USAF-Retired, mother of Anne Licia Bates and Mark Richard Bates, sister of Carlo Mingo.
