Lawrence John Paszek

Lawrence J. Paszek, age 88, of Reston, VA died on September 21, 2014 at the Virginia Hospital Center.
Beloved husband for 58 years of Maryann Paszek; father of Lara Steward (Brian) and the late Michelle Bates; and grandfather of Tyler, Veronica, Jennifer and Carter.
In 1944, at the age of 18, Larry volunteered for the Army Infantry and served in France and Germany. After two years, he returned home and availed himself of the GI Bill and graduated from Georgetown University. He spent his career in the federal government, retiring as a Chief Historian for the Office of Air Force History. Many of his publications are listed in the Library of Congress.
Family and friends are invited to Mr. Paszek's Life Celebration at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 11900 Lawyers Rd., Reston, VA on Saturday, September 27 from 1:30 p.m. until Mass of Christian Burial at 2:30 p.m. Interment Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

dear Larry and I shared many a Polish “quip” after Mass on Sundays Now he is up in Heaven, sharing quips with my husband Larry Their remains will be close by at Arlington Cemetery as honored veterans please advise me as to the date of Larry’s interment.
