Linda Maddox Roberts longtime resident of Vienna VA, joined the chorus of angels by departing this life on Thursday, July 20, 2017, her beloved husband, Brian J. Roberts was at her hospital bedside during her last flight. Linda had been graciously and successfully battling lung cancer for more than two years, when an infection on pneumonia overwhelmed her compromised immune system. Linda was born in Hannibal MO on August 29, 1947. Linda leaves behind Shelly, Wendy, and Billy, children of her predeceased brother William Maddox, as well as Aunt Della and numerous nieces and nephews in and around Hannibal MO, also left behind is Tigger the lap cat who is missing his favorite lap. Her extended family included brothers and sister- in - law, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren in the United Kingdom. Linda's mother Alice, father Ray and brother William are welcoming her now. Linda loved her garden especially when the Iris bloomed. Linda will be remembered for her more than 30 years of service to Honeywell and the succession of companies before becoming part of BAE Systems, lnc. An avid quilter, Linda was Chairman of Quilters Unlimited Quilt Show atleast 4 times as well as being President of both the Vienna Chapter and Quilters Unlimited. She was also a member of the McLean Chapter, she also joined the Highland County Quilters after becoming a resident of Sebring FL. Linda unfailingly demonstrated her love and respect to each person she met. She will be greatly missed by her family and many friends even as they know she is an angel watching over them.

    While our first relationship was a professional one, I was so blessed to also have you as my friend. A song states, “….you don’t always get what you want, but you always get what you need.” You recognized my need and offered me the support of you friendship. You are greatly missed. 1947 was a superb year.
