Memories Timeline

Guestbook

  1. As I was looking at her picture in our year book(1965), I was remembering the warm smile, the concerns she had for those around her. She was truly a special Gift from God. We will remember her in March when we have have our 45th reuion. My prayers will be with you in the days to come.

  2. The Pizarro family is following closely in your footsteps – and is in awe of the legacy your beautiful family is leaving, the loving example you are setting for all of us in similar circumstances. We can only hope to be granted the strength and patience to exhibit the love you showed to Linda right up until the end – or rather, the beginning. . .

  3. Bill and Family, We are saddened to hear of Linda’s death. We remember when she stayed at our house in Decatur when you two were engaged and you came to talk with our Atlanta committee about coming on staff with IVCF. We have kept up on you through Mark over the years. Linda was a lovely young lady and we were happy at your choice of a spouse. We know you will miss her, but with the joy of knowing she is at home with Christ. God bless and keep you.

  4. Bill and Family, I am Judi Young’s sister and loved Linda growing up across the street from her for many years. Judi has been good to keep me updated on Linda’s health. Bill, you have been such a Godly witness in the way you have faithfully cared for Linda. Thank you for sharing her with all of us through her pictures and your writings. Tom, my husband, and I will be praying for you the next few weeks and weeks to come. May God Bless. Susan V. Strickland

  5. Dear Bill: We have never forgotten how you told your children years ago that their Grandma had gone away with Jesus, but that some day, she would be coming back with Jesus. We comfort each other with those words now that Linda has become a world-conqueror — for who is it that conquers the world but the one who believes that Jesus is the Son of God? With fond memories, Jane and Jon Kopke

  6. Linda and Bill were very influential friends from the 1970’s in Clinton, MS. In fact Bill performed our wedding! Linda was a role model for Sally and Bill for me. I greatly appreciated their willingness to pour their lives into ours during those years. I was so sorry to hear about Linda! I have been out of touch with them since the 80s and I did not know what she was going through during the years of her illness. My prayers are with Bill and the family. Andy
