Lubidia Arely Rivas

“Death is not the opposite of life, but a part of it”.

Lubidia “Luby” Arely Rivas, 45 years young, passed on July 30, 2023 in Arlington, VA.  Though her journey in this world was cut short, she is now finally at peace.

Luby was born on December 11^th, 1977 in San Vicente, El Salvador. The only daughter of four children born to Juan Esteban Rivas and the late Maria Francisca Rivas-Bonilla.

She is survived by her father; Juan Rivas, brothers; Juan, Ricardo, and Esteban, children; Lubidia, Hailie, Dominic and Daughter in law Naheli Katty who is expecting the couples first child and Luby’s first grandchild. She was preceded in death by her mother, Maria Rivas.

Luby was one of the hardest workers you could know, she often lovingly attributed that quality to her mother.  She was also a fiercely loving friend to those who knew her throughout her life.  She was extremely proud of her children and all their wonderful accomplishments.

Luby’s Funeral is scheduled for August 4^th, 2023 at 10am at Money & King Fueral Home and Cremation Services and the interment service to follow at Chestnut Grove Cemetery at 12:30pm.
