We invite you to join us in honoring the beautiful life of Lynda Whitaker Luethke, who passed away peacefully at the age of 65, surrounded by her beloved family. Born on June 19, 1959, in Dayton, Ohio, Lynda was a radiant force in the lives of all who knew her. She exemplified strength, love, and compassion, leaving a lasting impact on her family and friends.

Lynda’s enduring spirit was evident throughout her life, especially in her 25-year battle against breast cancer. Despite facing numerous challenges, including four recurrences of the disease, she never showed weakness. Instead, she inspired those around her to be better, stronger, and more caring. Her unwavering dedication to her family, especially to her husband, Gary Luethke, who she met on April 3, 1987, in Dayton, exemplified the love they shared. Gary, born September 4, 1963, in New Jersey, has been a steadfast partner and supporter throughout their journey together.

Lynda’s legacy continues through her two sons, Allen Whitaker Luethke, born July 7, 1992, and Davis Elliott Luethke, born March 1, 1996. She cherished every moment spent with her boys, creating a nurturing environment where they could grow and thrive. Lynda’s love knew no bounds, and her spirit will forever live on in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles Whitaker and Maryanne Englebert, whose memory she carried with her in everything. Lynda often spoke of her parents’ strength and kindness, which shaped her into the extraordinary woman she became. Lynda is survived by her two brothers, Darden Whitaker and Donald Whitaker and her aunt, Nancy Mullins. As we gather to celebrate her life, let us remember the lessons she taught us about resilience, love, and the importance of supporting one another.

A viewing will be held at Money & King Funeral Home in Vienna, VA, on Sunday, January 19, 2025, at 1:00 PM, followed by a service at 2:00 PM. We invite you to join us in reflecting on Lynda’s remarkable journey, celebrating her incredible spirit, and sharing memories that will forever keep her in our hearts
