Mabel Kimiko Tam, 87, of Vienna, VA passed away on July 27, 2024 at home with family. Born in Kona, Big Island of Hawaii. Attended Armstrong College in Berkeley, CA. Worked in San Francisco, CA and married Douglas Yan Fook Tam from Hanalei, Kauai. Moved to Virginia and worked for the Department of the Treasury, retiring with more than 36 years of federal service. Survived by son, Derrick Tam, and Keli Hosaka of Vienna, VA, family pets Truffle and Roux, and numerous loving family members and friends. Enjoyed eating out, traveling (cruising), and watching animal shows on Nat Geo Wild. Memorial services in Hawaii are TBD. In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Alzheimer’s Association, SPCA of Northern Virginia, or your local volunteer fire department.
