Margaret Marie Baldauf "Pegge", passed away on Tuesday, September 25, 2012 after a brief illness. She was born in Newark, Ohio and was the widow of Milton P. Baldauf, Ph.D. They were married for 37 years. She is survived by her two daughters, Judy Cremers of Urbandale, IA and Jean Pool of McLean, Va; five grandchildren , one great-grandchild and a sister, Esther Eich of Lyndhurst, Ohio. Pegge was a longtime resident of McLean, Va. Before coming to McLean, she graduated from Heidelberg College and received a Masters in Education from Northern Illinois University. She was a librarian in Amherst, MA as well as a teacher in Newark, OH, Wooster, OH, Oblong, Ill and Sterling, Va., where she was Chairperson of the Special Education Department at Parkview High School. Later, she was a tutor for the Learning Workshop and the Literacy Council of Virginia. She was an active member of Lewinsville Presbyterian Church, where she was an ordained Deacon. She was also an active member of the local PEO Chapter (Philanthropic Educational Organization) and a Past President. As an avid traveler, she visited over 30 countries in her lifetime.

  1. Please accept my deepest sympathy. I did not know Ms. Baldauf personally, but I do know the pain of losing someone as special as a mom. May your family find comfort as I have in knowing that our loving heavenly Father promises us that very soon he will ‘swallow up death forever, and certainly wipe the tears from all faces.’ (Isaiah 25:8) What a wonderful day that will be!
