It was a pleasure to know Peggy through teaching at Beechtree. The warmth of her smile radiated to all around her. Her positive attitude was a wonderful role model. My husband and I were fortunate to witness the love of performing she passed on to her progeny. We send our sympathy to all.
July 8, 2008 Dear Family of Peggy Miller, When I recall Peggy’s spectacular 90th birthday party, I find comfort. What a tribute to a classy lady! When I recall our years on the vestry together, I find deep respect for a wise, astute, generous woman with integrity. When I recall that she tutored one of my advisees at Walt Whitman High School and transformed the lad from a slug into a productive, successful student; I feel proud of her dignity as a teacher, a bridge builder. Majestically Peggy cared for her mother and honored her life at her funeral and subsequent burial in Mrs. Lee’s rose garden. Accepting Peggy’s invitation to serve as the Verger, I saw first- hand more West Point rings than I ever had, and I witnessed grandeur in the love, devotion and mutual respect for one another. I loved Peggy. She’s enriched the very fiber of who I am. I will miss her.
