I enjoyed talking with Marilyn and had occasion to visit her at home a few times. We also got together for lunch once or twice. She was a lovely person and fun to talk with.
I last saw Marilyn a year ago in December 2011 in connecton with a visit of a mutual friend. As an ex-coworker, now retired from USAID I am saddened to learn of her passing. May she rest in peace.
Marilyn was truly one of a kind!! She will be missed by all her friends and family. Gone too soon!
I will miss you alot! Thank you for being such a good friend!
I will truly missi Marilyn. She was a true friend. We would go to lunch for our birthdays and I called and left her a message that I was looking forward to our birthday lunch this year. I was so shocked to find out why she did not return my call. Rest in peace my friend.
Although I was a high school friend of Marilyn’s, I lost touch with her over the past ten years. We enjoyed a wonderful reunion together for our 40th high school “girl’s weekend” in Las Vegas in 2002! I tried to get Marilyn to visit me in PA, but she never got here. I regret that we lost touch, and now it’s too late to tell her what her friendship meant to me. I remember learning to cook chili in her Mom’s kitchen as a teen! My first date was with Marilyn’s cousin, Kirby! We had lots of laughs together, and I will miss her very much. Rest in Peace, my friend…..
