Elaine Purcell, died peacefully with loved ones around her on Friday, September 17, 2010. She is survived by her brother Jim and his wife Patricia; nieces, Beth Purcell, Deborah Purcell and Kimberly Ramey; step-brother, Douglas Lindsay; step-sister, Linnette Whie and extended family members and a host of friends.

Elaine was very kind to me when I first moved to VA in 1984. Her spirit will continue to live on in all who were privileged to have made her acquaintance. She is in my thoughts and prayers.
Our deepest sympathy for all of Elaine’s loved ones. We greive for our cousin that was little known to us. She was still thought of and spoken about even after all these years. Her accomplishments in life were told and repeated with much pride and recognition. We didn’t let her go nor was she removed from our family tree because of her family’s great love for her.
