of Reston, VA, died peacefully on Monday, May 2, 2016. She was preceded in death in 1999 by her husband of over 59 years, the late Col. A.N. Hartman, USAR Retired. She was the loving and devoted mother of Joan Hartman Axilbund and her husband Melvin and Gail Hartman and her husband Robert Hill; cherished grandmother of Eric Axilbund, Rebecca Axilbund Anthony and her husband Michael, and Deborah Axilbund; beloved great-grandmother of Samuel Lenihan, April Anthony and Amanda Anthony. Relatives and friends are invited to visit the family at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 West Maple Avenue, Vienna, VA on Saturday, May 7 from 3 to 5 p.m. There will be an informal celebration of Mary's life about 4:30 p.m. Interment at Arlington National Cemetery will be at a later date. Grandma, you will live on forever in my heart. I cherish the time we got to spend together. I am so happy that Samuel was able to have you in his life too and he got to know you so well. I love you grandma.
I am sorry I never got to meet Mary, but I feel as I have know her through her daughter, Joan. May she rest in peace.
Our sympathy to you and your family in the loss of your mother. She was a very special person in your lives and I know you will miss her, but she will live on in your hearts forever.
