We all love you
Such a lovely lady! LaVeta always had a smile, a twinkle in her eye, and something nice to say. I shall remember that she wore a hat in church and that she made the most delicious coconut cakes — especially at the St. John’s antique shows and church suppers. We loved her and will miss her. With prayers and sympathy, Martha and Jack High
Frank and I wish to extend our sincere sympathy to LaVeta’s family. Frank has many fond memories of the Dailey family having lived with Grandmother Dailey for some years. Our prayers are with you during this difficult time.
My mother, Grace Blundell, and late father Daniel shared many wonderful times with Aunt Laveta and Uncle Marvin. I, too, remember many of these times and also that she sent me several handmade Redskin items over the years. She was a beloved sister-in-law of my mom’s,a dear aunt, and a lovely lady. My mother and I send our condolences to her sons and their families.
I was Mrs. Poodle’s mailman for many years. When the weather permitted, Mr. Poole would always be sitting by the mailbox waiting for the mail. Mrs. Poole would always give snacks to eat. Many times after work, my daughter and I would ride back to McClean to see her. A couple of times we would have dinner with her at her house. Many more times we would take her out to a restaurant to get a fried catfish dinner. I will never forget her. She was an absolutely wonderful person.
