Matthew John Irons

Matthew John Irons died Wednesday, December 30, 2015 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton, VA, with his loving and dedicated children, Drew and Kristen at his bedside. Born in Minnesota, Matt graduated from the Mankato State Teachers College in the 1950s. He moved to New York where he began his employment with IBM, for whom he worked until his retirement in the 1980s. Matt is survived by his son, Drew; daughter, Kristen; and his second wife, Patricia. Matt is also survived by his first wife, Maxine; their son, Shawn; daughter Janet (Fox) and her husband, Todd; and many grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Matt is predeceased by his daughter, Sherri, and his son, Scott. Relatives and friends are invited to Matt's Life Celebration at Money and King Funeral Home, 171 W. Maple Ave., Vienna, VA on Wednesday, January 13, from 6 p.m., including a prayer service at 7 p.m.
