Mircea Raceanu

Mircea Raceanu, 90, passed away on April 25,2026, at home, surrounded by his family and loved ones. Born on October 17th, 1935, under challenging times in Romania, he was a dedicated diplomat specialized in Romanian-American relations. His legacy will be his love for helping others and advocating for human rights   Full of energy, he touched the lives of many and always had amazing stories to tell.  Mircea is survived by his wife of 57 years, Maria, his children Andrei Raceanu (Nathaly), Oana Plesea (Bill) Hicks and his grandchildren Penelope Ann Raceanu and Luca Plesea.

Services will be held on Thursday April 30th, 2026, at 11am at Money and King Funeral Home, Vienna VA.  In lieu of flowers please consider donating to Alz.org to help combat this awful disease.
