Nancy Ellen Ioli

October 16, 1951 ~ January 23, 2015
Nancy Ellen Ioli, of Great Falls, Virginia, died peacefully Friday, January 23, 2015 in her home after living courageously with cancer for three and a half years. Nancy was born in Salisbury, Maryland, October 16, 1951 to Lester and Beatrice Akerly, the middle of three girls. Nancy spent the majority of her childhood in Milton, Delaware where she excelled as a student and on the basketball court. It was also in her childhood where she developed a lifetime love of the Delaware shore, especially Rehoboth Beach. When her family moved to Dover, Pennsylvania after her freshmen year of high school, Nancy achieved great success on the field hockey and softball fields, as a majorette and was her class Homecoming Queen. After attending Pennsylvania State University York Campus, Nancy worked at York Federal Savings and Loan, where after a series of promotions, she became a Vice-President of the bank. While raising their two daughters, Nancy and her husband, Bill founded IMC, Ltd, a management-consulting firm. Nancy was an extraordinarily kind and generous woman who helped many people throughout her life. She loved nothing more than being with her family and friends, watching college basketball and traveling. Nancy was a deeply spiritual woman who lived her faith every day.
Nancy is survived by her husband, William A. Ioli, her daughters Kristie Raley and Jennifer Perillo and her son-in-laws Brian Raley and Paul Perillo. She is also survived by her sisters April Hippensteel and Joan Reamer, as well as cherished grandchildren Gabrielle Boyle, Nicholas Trunnell, Jake Trunnell and William Perillo. Nancy is survived also by many nieces and nephews and is predeceased by her parents, Lester and Beatrice Akerly, and her sister Darlene Walls.
