Nickolas Antich, 77, of Vienna, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, December 19, 2019. He was born in the former Belgrade, Yugoslavia and after his family fled from WWII they settled in United States of America. By the time he was ten, he was able to speak three languages: Russian, German, and English.

Nickolas was awarded his Bachelor’s degree from New York University and later studied Computer Science at George Washington University where he received his Master’s degree. He married Patricia A. Himic in 1973 and together they settled in Vienna, Virginia and started a family.

Nickolas is survived by his wife of 46 years, Patricia and four children; Greg Antich, Mike Antich, Lisa Robinson, and Paul Antich and four grandchildren; Gregory, Samuel, Savannah, and Dominic, a beloved brother, Ted Hadzi-Antich, his wife Diana Hadzi-Antich and their three children; Teddy, Vera, and Nina; family friend, Alex Pisaretz and daughter Olivia.

Outside of work, Nickolas Antich was a devoted Sunday school teacher for over twenty years at St. Marks Orthodox Church. He always supported his kids’ education, sporting, theater, or musical events.

In retirement, Nickolas enjoyed watching his grandchildren grow, attending church and bible study, watching sports and talking politics to whomever challenged his views.

He will always be remembered for his quick wit, strong opinions, religious devotion, humorous character, boldness, stubbornness, and for being a wonderful, loving, devoted father and husband.

His memory will be eternal.

Services are being provided by Money & King in Vienna, VA. Viewing to be held at 10:30 am- 1:00am on January 9, 2019 at Saint Marks Orthodox Church, 7124 River Road, Bethesda, MD 20817. There will be an Orthodox Funeral from 1:00-2:15 and reception to follow. The burial will take place the following day at Novo-Diveevo Russian Orthodox Cemetery, 100 Smith Rd., Nanuet, NY 10954 at 1:00pm.

In lieu of flowers, a donation may be given in memory of Nickolas Antich to St. Mark Orthodox Church, 7124 River Road, Bethesda, MD 20817 or to St. Luke Serbian Orthodox Church, 6801 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101.
