Nora White Jones

Nora White Jones, age 84, of Daphne, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her sleep on January 23, 2026, following complications from pneumonia.

Nora was born on December 8, 1941, to John David White and Mildred Kate Cole in Mullins, South Carolina. After graduating from Vigor High School in 1960, she went on to earn a Bachelor of Science degree through The University of the State of New York, marking the start of a life defined by independence, ambition, and intellectual curiosity.

Professionally, Nora was a true original. She was a trendsetter in the local fashion scene at Color 1 Associates, Inc., co-founded Conte Grinds Fine Coffee and Teas, and built a distinguished 40-year career in public service. Her work across multiple federal agencies, including the ATF and DEA, reflected both her unwavering discipline and her deep commitment to service.

Outside of her career, Nora’s life was rooted in care – for animals, for her garden, and for the people she loved. Whether tending to her plants, rescuing animals, or gathering loved ones at her home in Historic Malbis, she created spaces of warmth, beauty, and belonging. Even after her retirement in 2022, she remained deeply engaged with the world around her and the community she called home.

Nora is survived by her beloved boys, Cam and Kailen Jones, her cherished friends, and the countless lives shaped by her generosity, strength, and quiet acts of kindness. Her legacy is not only in what she built, but in how she lived – with grace, independence, and compassion.
