I have very happy memories of working with Noreen for five years at Hanley-Wood Inc. She was excellent in her editorial skills and caring as a person. It is a great loss to lose such a wonderful individual so young. Deborah and I send our prayers, thoughts, and best wishes to Tom, Lauren, and Kate and the family. John Aquino
Noreen was a classmate of mine at Loretto Academy in Kansas City, MO. I remember her quick wit, the gleam in her eye, her intelligence, and her caring nature. My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends. JoAnn Parrino Axtell
I am so sorry to hear of Noreens passing. It has been many years since we worked and laughed together…beginnning at AutoExec. Tom, my sincerest condolences to you and your family. Bono
Hi Miss Lauren – It\\\’s me, Miss Jill. I was so very sorry to hear about your mom\\\’s passing. Do not worry about work-we\\\’ve all got you covered-take as long as you need to. We all love you and our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I know your mom was very proud of you. Wishing you heartfelt peace and comfort. Jill W.
The world is a good bit less fun, and not nearly as smart as it was when Noreen was still with us. I had the good fortune to work – and play – with Noreen for many of the past 21 years as a magazine designer and a friend. The wonderful combination of smarts, wit and instinct that she brought to her work – and her life – was a true gift for the organizations and people that collaborated with her. Noreen set high standards for all of her endeavors and she brought those of us who worked along side her up to meet those standards. Mostly I will remember Noreen’s endless sense of fun, the conspiratorial gleam in her eye, the arched eyebrows, before letting out that distinctive laugh – or more often, inducing others to laughter. Noreen, you are already greatly missed. Our hearts go out to Tom, Lauren, Kate and Noreen\\\’s family.
What a terrible loss. Noreen was such a shining light — so witty, so astute, so talented. I had the pleasure of working with her for many years at Hanley-Wood, and I always admired her great combination of delightful humor and high professional standards. My heartfelt condolences to Tom, their daughters, and the rest of Noreen\\\’s family.
To Noreen\\\’s family, especially her daughter\\\’s and husband, my sincere condolences. Noreen devoted positive energy to all that she endeavored, and during the time I worked with her at Hanley-Wood, her devotion to her family was always obvious. She will be missed by many.
To Tom and his family, I send my deepest condolences. I met Noreen a few times when Tom and I worked at Pepco together. She was a very charming woman. I grieve with the Welle family for their loss.
My warmest, heartfelt sympathies in the passing of Noreen. 🙁 I\\\’ll always remember her for hiring me as a typesetter for Hanley-Wood in 1988… and the wonderfully funny comments she would always write in the margins when she edited a story. (way back in the days when we used paper and pencil) It was such a pleasure to have her as my boss and I\\\’m so glad to have known and worked with her. Ms. Welle, you\\\’ll always be in my fondest memories.
I loved making Noreen laugh. She had such an easy laugh, anyway, and we shared a similar sense of humor … in addition to our alma mater (Go Mizzou!), our off-campus apartment in our repective senior years, and our respect for journalistic ethics. She was a mentor, both personally and professionally, and I will miss her terribly, as will anyone who knew her. Our love and prayers go out to Tom, Lauren, and Kate, and to her extended family. It\\\’s or its, Noreen? I still don\\\’t get it …
I work with Ken at GPC in Houston. I just wanted to express my deepest condolences to the family for your loss. May God be with you all.

I was so saddened to read of Noreen’s passing. While I didn’t know Noreen well, I always enjoyed our discussions and I had such great admiration for her publishing work. He was a real professional and class lady who will be missed Debra Stratton Stratton Publishing & Marketing Inc.
