Owen Everett Robinson

Owen Everett Robinson, 88, passed away at his home in McLean, Va., on Friday, March 18th. Owen, known to all as Robbie, was born in Washington, DC. He graduated from McKinley Tech High School, attended Sophia University in Tokyo and graduated from George Washington University. His long career included the US Navy (WW II), The Department of Justice, the Army Corps of Engineers and 25 years with the Central Intelligence Agency, serving many years in SE Asia. After retiring from the CIA, he spent 15 years traveling the world as a counter terrorism and security consultant for US multinational companies. Robbie was a keen outdoorsman and an avid student and collector of Asian art. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Betzi, their daughter, Kristin Price Wickersham, her husband Mark Wickersham and two adored granddauhters, Jocelyn Price Wickersham and Diana Elizabeth Wickersham, their son, Ian Hendry Robinson, and his wife Lisa Robinson. Two brothers, both of Pennsylvania, also survive; John Norton Robinson and Louis Edward Robinson and their extensive families. A memorial service will be held at Immanuel Presbyterian Church in McLean, Va on Saturday, April 2nd at 11:00 AM. Friends are welcome to come and celebrate his life.
