Patricia Ann Jeffers
Patricia Ann Jeffers (Walczyk), 91, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2026. Patty, as she was known to many, was born on July 24, 1934 in Westland, Pennsylvania to Katherine and Ludwik Walczyk. One of four siblings (Jean, Louise, Louis), she grew up in a small town as a coal miner’s daughter. Patty’s family and her faith were always important to her from a young age. Throughout her life, she observed weekly mass and was an active member of the Catholic church. Her faith guided her, influenced who she was, and was an integral part of her life.
At a wedding, Patty met her husband Paul Jeffers, Sr. through her brother. They were married for 52 years and built a beautiful life together. Their journey started in Pennsylvania. They moved to Virginia in the mid-sixties. Along the way, they lived in Australia for several years, before making Vienna, Virginia their permanent home.
Patty was loved dearly by her family and friends. She is survived by her sons Paul Jeffers, Jr. (Ritu), Michael Jeffers, and Dennis Jeffers (Eva), along with granddaughters Eliza, Myra, and Cynthia (Siwon). She was known as “Aunt Patty” to her many nieces, nephews, and godchildren whom she cherished.
Patricia’s long career as a bookkeeper ranged over several decades. She worked in multiple industries, to include hospitality, travel, retail, and government. In her free time, Patty loved baking. Whether it was candy for Easter, cookies for Christmas, pies at Thanksgiving, or a special birthday cake, she always had a just-because dessert in her kitchen. She would bake for family, friends, neighbors, parties, and more! One of her favorite specialties was the apricot flip.
After retirement, Patty’s primary focus was spending time with her family and friends. Although holidays were extra special, she would look forward to lunch dates, shopping trips, excursions to casinos, church outings, and phone conversations. It was never about the destination, but always the company. She would say that she had the best time when her “family was all together.”
Patty will be deeply missed by all those who knew her. She will always be remembered as a kind, warm, and caring daughter, sister, mother, mother-in-law, aunt, grandmother, godmother, and friend.
