Patrick was born in New York and was known as Pat or Paddy to his family and friends.
He met the love of his life, Cathy, while they were both working for an insurance company. They were married in 1962, bought a house in Queens Village, NY and together raised their three children.

Pat worked for The United States Postal Service for 35 ½ years. He started his career as a Distribution Clerk in Jamaica, Queens in 1961. He had the positions of Mail Carrier, Foreman, Assistant Station Superintendent and Quality Control Officer from 1962-1976 in Jamaica Queens, NY. He was a Quality Control Officer and Tour Superintendent, in Flushing NY, from 1976-1979. During that time, in 1977 he was the Postmaster/OIC of Glen Head NY. He then worked in the Northeast Region as a Quality Control Specialist and Air Transportation Officer from 1979 -1986. He then moved to Memphis Tennessee, as a Manager of Transportation and Operations Programs Analyst from 1986-1988 in the Southern Region. In 1988 he moved to Virgina and worked in headquarters in Washinton D.C as a General Manager Network Analysis and Requirements – PCES. He stayed in Headquarters until 1993 and moved to Chicago where he was Manager of the Airport Mail Center – PCES at O’Hare Airport. Pat moved back to Virginia to finish his career in June 1994 as a Manager of Distribution Networks – PCES. After Pat retired in 1997, he started his own company as a consultant. During all the moves and job changes, his wife Cathy was always by his side supporting him.

Pat was very proud of his career but if you ask him what his biggest accomplishment was, he would not hesitate to say, his family and friends. Pat would do anything for anyone, and always made time for everyone that needed help. He was always there to ask advice or a question, a helping hand when something needed to be done and he always put others before himself. His children, grandchildren, friends and neighbors would call Pat when they had a question as he would always have the answer and if he did not he would do research and find out.
Pat was a history buff and when his children and grandchildren needed help with their schoolwork he always had the answer.

Pat loved to travel, spending time with his wife, children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He was an active member of the Knights of Columbus.
